Raised in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, Halle was (and still is) every bit the  nerdy child you would expect her to be.  It was just as common then to find Halle's nose in a book as it is now.  When not geeking out over Harry Potter, she was always drawn to singing and performance, but like any typical American  child, she played her fair share of sports.  Early on she realized that she had an unsurprising flair for the dramatic, which led her to trade in her beloved elementary school baseball glove for theatre, choirs, guitar, and dancing .  After high school, Halle knew she had to keep pursuing these passions, which led her to move to Chicago and earn a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from Columbia College Chicago. When not auditioning or at rehearsals, Halle enjoys reading, yoga, knitting, traveling, learning to cook,  watching great movies and television, and watching "so bad that they're  great" movies and television.
